Our Special Gift

In early spring of this year, our church family surprised us with a very special gift to honor Craig's 10th anniversary of working at the church - a family vacation. We were truly surprised and reminded of how grateful we are for the people God allows us to serve with. We absolutely love our church! So at the end of August, we drove up north a couple hours, where we stayed for a week at Boyne Mountain ski resort. At the end of the week, we drove a little farther north where we spent a day on Mackinac Island. The time away was better than we ever could have imagined. It was great to have a week together as a family. Here are a few snapshots of our time together: Riding the chair lift up the mountain - a HUGE highlight for the kids

Playing at the beach - building sand castles

Paddle-Boating

Kayaking (Karisa is in the far kayak, Craig is with Zach & Megs in the middle, and Hannah is the closest one)

Swimming
Hanging out with Daddy

Relaxing in the hot tub with the ski slopes in the background

Riding the zip line (only Daddy, Mommy, and Karisa could do this - Karisa is in the picture here)

More time with Daddy

Sleeping together - I love this picture!

This is the family room of the condo where we stayed for the week

A picnic at the base of the Mackinac Bridge

A carriage ride on Mackinac Island

Riding bikes all the way around Mackinac Island (8 miles).
