We just finished a week of "stay-cationing" here at home - and what a great week it was for our family. We took several short day trips - to the park, the Children's Museum, the zoo, Meijer Gardens, etc. We also enjoyed a lot of family time hanging around the house - playing outside, etc. We are so thankful God provided us with a refreshing week after a busy summer. Here are a few highlights:
Megan enjoyed a lot of time in the hammock while her sisters played in the swimming pool.
Karisa and Hannah love to race with Daddy in the pool.

We have visited the Zoo quite a few times over the years, but we wanted to make this trip a little extra special. So we surprised the girls and let them have a camel ride. They loved it!
Megan missed out on the camel ride, but enjoyed petting the goats.
We also treated the girls to $1 feeding sticks for the birds. With Daddy's help they were each able to get a bird to sit on their stick.
Karisa was a little more tenative than Hannah about having the birds so close to her.
