A Lot To Be Thankful For

We are truly thankful to God for good health, something which we often take for granted. Yesterday Karisa had to go to the hospital to have an eye exam done under anesthesia. She was such a trooper, and we are very grateful God has given us an outstanding doctor who is providing her with great care. Here Karisa is waiting to be taken to the pre-op area. She was very excited about her new coloring book and crayons.
Here we are waiting to go back to the Operating Room. I got to carry her back and put her on the surgery table and wait with her until the medicine put her to sleep. That brought a few tears to my eyes. :)
She was pretty groggy as she started to wake up after the exam.
As she woke up a little more she asked if I wanted to get in bed with her. I jumped at the opportunity to snuggle with my baby!!

The kids and I were praying for you all Wednesday! Glad that things went well. Karisa looks adorable in her scrubs!

My daughter has to have tear duct surgery on Halloween. I've been nervous about the anesthesia. Thanks for posting about your experience and making it sound OK.
