Tonight was a VERY exciting and memorable night for our church family. We walked from our current church building about 2 1/2 miles to our "new" church building that we purchased earlier this month. God in His goodness has allowed our church to purchase a vacant church building that is quite a bit larger than our current facility and will allow us to expand in some much needed areas of ministry. It is just amazing how this has transpired and we are full of praise to God!! One of the most exciting parts of this move is that we will be able to go back to having one morning service (instead of two) - I am especially grateful for this. This coming Sunday will be our last Sunday morning in our "old" building and then in the evening we will hold a Communion meal at the "new" building as our first official service. So, anyhow, this evening we walked between the two buildings, stopping at various points along the way to pray for the people in the neighborhoods and school that we may now have contact with.

This is a picture of our "old" building taken tonight as we left (I was bringing up the rear of the line with my 3 girls!).

This is part of the gang as we walked off our current property.

We stopped along our way at Dorothy Carpenter's house - one of the charter members of our church. She and her husband helped start our church about 54 years ago.

This is another picture of the group as we walked.

And, finally, after about 1 1/4 hours of walking and praying we arrived at the "new" building!!
